Call for Abstracts

We invite submissions for oral and poster presentations showcasing the latest advances, innovations, and applications across the broad field of plasma physics. A range of suggested themes is provided below to help guide submissions. These topics should be interpreted broadly, and interdisciplinary contributions are particularly welcome. If your research does not fit neatly within any of the listed themes, please select the "Other" category.

The IOP Plasma Physics Conference provides a platform for researchers, academics, industry specialists, and early career scientists to share their work, exchange ideas, and engage with colleagues from across the plasma physics community. Whether your research is theoretical, experimental, computational, or application-focused, we encourage you to submit your work and contribute to the scientific programme.

We look forward to receiving abstracts that highlight the diversity, creativity, and impact of plasma physics research, from fundamental science through to emerging technologies and real-world applications. The abstract deadline is 12 February 2027.

Suggested Topics

Abstracts are encouraged in areas including, but not limited to:

  • AI/ML in plasma physics
  • Astrophysical and space plasmas
  • Dusty and complex plasmas
  • Fundamental plasma physics
  • High energy density and laser plasmas
  • Inertial confinement fusion
  • Low density and technological/dusty plasmas
  • Low temperature plasmas
  • Magnetic confinement fusion
  • Plasma surface interactions
  • Plasma diagnostics
  • Plasma applications including medical
